The Product

Part of our range of personal effects, this spacious carry bag is hand crafted from one of our own authentic heritage moquettes. The durable outer fabric and full water-resistant inner lining make this bag perfect for your next adventure. It features sturdy faux leather handles for a comfortable grip, combining style with sustainability. Whether you're heading off for a weekend getaway or a longer journey, this roomy bag offers ample space to store all your essentials while standing out with its timeless design.

The Pattern - Bournemouth Blue

Another very recognisable pattern, Bournemouth Blue first came to life in 1967 when the line to Southampton and Bournemouth was electrified and a fleet of existing coaches was rebuilt to provide the new service. The coaches were modernised internally, with extensive use of Formica panelling and a new blue and green fabric pattern for the upholstery.

This popular design was very quickly adopted for the (also new) Mark 2 locomotive hauled coaches which were being built at the time, and went on to last as a standard fitment through the life of British Rail, only being superseded by the new designs which accompanied Sectorisation in the late eighties and early nineties.
